Are you ready to lead, inspire, and shape the future of early childhood education in Adelaide? Adelaide Early Learning is an experienced Child Care provider but is brand new in the Adelaide region - we are looking for a leader to truly make a difference in the Adelaide community!
This is an opportunity to support to design and deliver exceptional quality early learning services, support a team of dedicated professionals, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children, families, and educators. Initially based in Athelstone, your role has the potential to develop quickly, with high quality care, community relationships and family engagement all of your key strengths!
About the Role
As the initial Centre Director you will be responsible for the operational excellence, financial performance, safety, and people leadership of Adelaide Early Learning. You will ensure that Adelaide Early Learning become known quickly as a leader in early childhood education through our positive community engagement and high-quality programs, that exceed industry standards and foster positive outcomes for all.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
Design and deliver high-quality early childhood services that value families and educators while meeting regulatory standards.
Support and guide the team to execute Adelaide EL values and objectives.
Develop and implement policies and procedures in compliance with regulations and Adelaide EL standards.
Oversee service presentation standards and ensure consistency across all centres in the region.
Financial Leadership
Manage the financial performance of each centre, ensuring efficient rostering and recruitment aligned with business goals.
Ensure all eligible centre funding is received, including subsidies and support programs.
Provide regular performance reports
Safety & Compliance
Champion Adelaide EL safety framework to maximise the wellbeing of children and staff.
Proactively identify, report, and mitigate risks and potential issues.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and resolve any issue effectively.
People Leadership
Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture, inspiring a diverse team to achieve shared goals.
Mentor and support staff through professional development and engagement initiatives.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance Adelaide EL reputation and culture.
About You
You are a genuine and accountable person who has a positive mindset. A person that truly cares about our families, children and team. An inspiring leader, and a passionate advocate for quality early childhood education who aligns with Adelaide EL values. You thrive in a busy environment and have the skills and experience to support multiple services while delivering exceptional outcomes for children, families, and educators.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience in a similar leadership role within early childhood education or childcare services.
Strong financial skills, including cost accountability and reporting.
Working knowledge of government funding and requirements.
Demonstrated experience managing culturally diverse teams.
Tertiary qualification in Children’s Services, Education, or equivalent.
