This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic local government Arboriculture Team. In this key role, you will provide tree related services with a strong emphasis on reactive tree management including: responding to customer service requests, provide subject matter expertise for internal/external projects and assist with the electric line clearance (ELC) & street tree pruning program.

About the role
Joining the wider Parks & Natural Environment Team, you will be a key member of the Reactive Tree Services Unit. This unit is responsible for all things in which we reactively management Manningham's tree population (customer service requests, providing expertise with internal/external projects, assisting with ELC program). This is a great time to join Manningham's Arboriculture Team with recently reviewed tree services, new staff a modern approach to tree management and a vision for continuous improvement.
Skills and experience
- You are a highly qualified and experienced arborist with demonstrated skills and abilities to meet the requirements of the position.
- You have a sound knowledge of Arboriculture related legislation, strategies and guidelines.
- You have experience in the management of teams and the ability to build effective working relationships with staff and contractors.
- You can communicate effectively with relevant Council departments and external stakeholders.
- You have highly developed IT skills with the ability to extract data and develop programs using GIS & IT based programs.
