About Avivo:
We partner with individuals and families to give them the support they need - whether it's dealing with disabilities, aging, or mental health. Our mission? Helping people live their best lives and stay connected with their communities. We offer permanent part-time contracts and cater to your availability. For this area, the hours will start around 5 - 10 hours per week, but will increase quickly as we grow in the area.
Our team are looking for Support Workers to cover York, Beverley & Quairading areas who can work alongside our customers to provide quality and practical assistance that enables them to continue to lead their own lives with dignity and stay connected with family and community. We have a diverse range of customers, who require transport to appointments, social support for their wellbeing, and domestic cleaning assistance in the household. Don't worry - all training would be provided to you, all you need is a willingness to learn!
What You'll Do:
- Provide practical and personalized support to our customers, including assistance with daily activities and mobility.
- Advocate for their rights and preferences to ensure they feel empowered in their care.
- Help customers stay connected to their communities and maintain independence through social activities and local services.
- Build trust to create a safe, supportive, and comfortable environment.
We offer on-the-job training and buddy shifts to help you pick up all the skills you need!
What You Need:
- A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle (important for the role)
- A NDIS Worker Screening check (or be ready to get one)
- A positive attitude and creative thinking
- Flexibility to work different shifts & understanding hours will increase over time
- Experience helping individuals and families (would be great)
- Qualifications in Aged Care, Disability, Mental Health, or Community Services (also would be great)
