The Role

We are seeking a Design & Publications Manager to join a State Government organisation on a fixed-term until November 2026. This VPS5.1 role leads a small team of designers to manage the end-to-end delivery of high-volume publication projects, including reports, advertising, instructional materials, and publications. You'll oversee projects from planning through to execution, ensuring all outputs meet accessibility and brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead publication projects from planning through to delivery.
• Manage workflow and resource allocation across a team of designers
• Oversee quality assurance and accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1 or above)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders on project delivery

About You

• Proven experience managing publication projects with immovable deadlines
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating a creative team
• Highly organised with exceptional workflow and project management capability
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and MS Office; experience with accessibility standards highly regarded
