As the Assistant Director, Business and Commercial Development, you’ll drive customer-focused business development, manage a diverse portfolio of commercial accounts, and lead a high-performing customer service team. You’ll play a key role in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and contract management, contributing directly to CLS’s operational and financial success.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and implement customer relationship and sales strategies
• Manage commercial accounts exceeding $20 million annually
• Lead contract performance, risk mitigation, and dispute resolution
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and respond to tenders
• Collaborate with operations to ensure seamless service delivery
• Represent CLS at industry events and lead marketing initiatives
• Supervise and support a team of customer service representatives
• Foster a culture of respect, accountability, and continuous improvement

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven experience in strategic customer engagement and business development
• Strong commercial acumen and contract management skills
• Ability to lead teams and drive high-quality service outcomes
• Experience preparing tenders and business proposals
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience in a commercial or operational business is highly desirable
• Tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in a business-related discipline

• Australian Driver’s licence (C class) mandatory.
• May require occasional work out of hours.
• Visa holders are eligible to apply for both permanent and temporary roles. Those with eligible visas may be considered for permanent employment, while individuals with temporary residency or limited-duration visas may be offered permanent employment for the duration of their visas.
