Your Role:

Our Southern Tasmania division is currently looking for a full-time MR Truck Driver to join our team based at our Hobart yard. This is a PERMANENT position for someone ready to be part of a team. You will be primarily responsible for providing timely collection services with a focus on safety, customer service, punctuality, and a great attitude.

Your responsibilities include:

Ensuring efficient service to customers by collecting scrap metal bins, and/or delivering empty bins, in a timely fashion

Communicating with management to identify any on-site concerns regarding OHS, environmental or collection issues arising

Working in accordance with a daily plan for collections while being flexible

Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site safety, environmental and quality procedures

Operational support in the yard as required

Maintaining professional relationships with our established customer base

Qualifications & experience

MR/HR license with minimum 2 years of commercial truck driving experience and clean driving record

Hiab/crane operation experience preferred (training provided for the right candidate)

Excellent customer service ethic- you will interact with clients daily

Effective communication skills

Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic

Ability to work independently & as part of a team

Right to work in Australia

Physical fitness for manual handling requirements and ability to pass pre-employment medical

It will be of added advantage (but not required) if you have:

Previous experience in waste management, recycling, or similar industry

Hiab crane operation experience

Current forklift licence (LF) and tickets to operate various load shifting equipment such as excavators

Long-term employment history demonstrating reliability
