The Palais Royale Boutique Hotel is centrally located in the heart of the upper Blue Mountains.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Cook to join our Food and Beverage team.

As we continue to expand, we are looking for an enthusiastic Cook to deliver our breakfast, lunch services in Gazelles Cafe and Restaurant, implementing new menu's with effective and seamless delivery, ensuring a customer centric experience for our guests.

The Role:

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation.

Assist in menu planning and the creation of specials that align with current food trends.

Assist in stocktaking and ordering supplies to maintain a well-stocked kitchen inventory.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.

Collaborate with the Food and Beverage team to ensure timely and efficient service.

Contribute to a positive team environment, fostering collaboration and communication.

Focus on breakfast and lunch cuisine preparation and service delivery.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in a cooking role - hotel/restaurant experience is preferred.

Relevant commercial cookery certificate or equivalent qualifications.

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is required as the specific commercial cookery qualification.

Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and OHS practices.

Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks under pressure.

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and consistency.

Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, late nights and weekends
