A proven commitment to safety, excellent teamwork and communication skills, and the physical fitness to work outdoors are essential. Desirable qualifications include experience with specific equipment brands like JCB, Manitou, Vermee, Soilmec, Cummins engines, Hatz engines, an air conditioning license, welding experience, and an HR license, further enhancing their value to the team.

Where you'll be working

Initially based on our Broadsound project in Queensland, and if we are a good fit for one another, we will then work on our projects across the country.

Main duties and responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and servicing of diesel engines and associated systems.

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on a range of mobile plant equipment.

Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and identify potential issues.

Complete accurate and timely service reports and documentation.

Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations.

Work effectively within a team environment.

Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve faults.

Essential Criteria:

Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or higher

At least 5 years of experience as a diesel fitter

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Excellent knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

Strong commitment to safety.

Valid driver's license.

Strong communication and teamwork skills, a commitment to creating a positive work environment

Must be able to work in outdoor conditions.

Australian citizenship is required for this position.

Desirable Criteria:
