About VICSEG New Futures:
VICSEG New Futures is a not-for-profit community organisation that has been supporting newly settled migrant and refugee families for almost 45 years. Our Registered Training Organisation, New Futures Training, was established in 2002 and provides vocational training and pathways to employment in the human services and care sectors. We also offer a variety of community programs tailored to the needs of families in the early stages of settling in Australia. These include supported playgroups, family mentoring, parenting programs and women’s groups.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Casual Trainers in Individual Support to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessment services in Individual Support in accordance with Australian VET regulatory guidelines. The role will predominantly involve face-to-face delivery of training on Saturdays in the Northern and Western regions of Melbourne and facility assessments during the week. Multiple positions available - weekdays and Saturday.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver high-quality training and assessment services in Individual Support in accordance with Australian VET regulatory guidelines.
Deliver training on Saturdays in the Northern and Western regions of Melbourne and availability do conduct facility assessments in our partnered facilities.
Develop and maintain relationships with students, industry stakeholders, and other relevant parties.
Actively participate in course development and quality improvement activities, including curriculum design, course review, and assessment validation
Develop and deliver customized training programs to meet the specific needs of clients and students.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including adherence to training package requirements, assessment policies and procedures, and record-keeping requirements.
Provide feedback and support to students throughout their training journey.
Manage the assessment process, including the development and marking of assessments and the provision of timely feedback to students.
Any other duties assigned by the Training Manager or Operations Manager as required.
Essential Criteria:
Certificate III in Individual Support or higher qualification
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40110) or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the individual support sector
Knowledge and understanding of the Australian VET system and regulatory requirements.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and stakeholders.
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
