Introduction:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Accountant to join a recognised commercial organisation in a permanent, full-time position. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a close knit finance team where your expertise will directly contribute to the company's continued growth and success. They are based in Richmond and have hybrid working arrangements (4 days in the office).

Your responsibilities:

• Overall responsible for ensuring the accurate completion of the general ledger on a monthly and annual basis to allow the preparation of monthly financial statements
• Responsible with the completion of the balance sheet and bank reconciliations on a weekly basis.
• Preparation of financial statutory documents, school financial statements.
• Working closely with the team for budgeting, forecasting and month end reporting
• Preparation of Trial balance each month end.
• Undertake ad hoc projects / duties as required to support the team

What experience will you have:

• 3-5 year's experience in a similar or related role preferred
• Relevant Accounting / Finance qualifications, studying towards CA or CPA
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to manage and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to meet strict deadlines
• Ability to use initiative and be proactive
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong work ethic, diligence, integrity
• Detail-oriented and meticulous
