Our highly successful client based in Dandenong South is seeking a experienced and motivated Assistant Accountant to join their professional and friendly team on a full time/permanent basis. All staff work on site/in the office and are offered a safe and professional work environment with a warm and engaging manager. This position is best suited to someone with at least 2 years of experience as an Assistant Accountant, tertiary qualified in Accounting or Business and be CA/CPA qualified or planning to complete their qualification.

Reporting to the CFO, you will play a key role in driving financial and commercial excellence. Your key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

• Weekly, Fortnightly & Monthly reporting (WIP, Production WIP, Sales Forecasts, Cash Flow reports)
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensuring registers and reports kept up to date
• EOM journals
• Review Sales and COGS monthly and provide appropriate commentary
• Bank reconciliations
• Working across Accounts on both sides of the ledger and the General Ledger
• Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable
• Stock control: stock reporting & ensuring stock movements recorded in system accurately
• Supporting the wider team to help projects get delivered smoothly, on time and in budget
• ERP expert & training to become 'Super User'.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Business
• Progress toward or plans to commence your CA or CPA qualification
• At least 2 years of professional experience in a finance or accounting role
• A solid understanding of accounting standards and financial processes
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a proactive mindset
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the business
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and genuine interest in the industry
• Take pride in your personal presentation.
