The Opportunity

We’re growing! Both Speech Pathologist and Senior Speech Pathologist positions are available. These roles involve delivering high-quality clinical services to young children (<9) with autism or developmental delays. These positions also offer exposure to unique programs and diverse clinical work, including a balance of project and client work. Clinicians will apply evidence-based interventions and participate in knowledge sharing and research translation within a multidisciplinary team.

Common Responsibilities (Both Roles):

Deliver evidence-based, family-centred speech pathology services (individual and group).

Provide manualised interventions (e.g., PACT) as selected by CliniKids.

Collaborate with occupational therapists, psychologists, and researchers.

Contribute to clinical resources and participate in community engagement.

Comply with Medicare, NDIS, and other funder requirements.

Support research initiatives and participate in forums and team learning.

Role-Specific Responsibilities

Speech Pathologist:

Provide high-quality, individualised speech and language therapy.

Engage actively in learning and generously share knowledge.

Assist with resource development and dissemination under supervision.

Contribute to the development of therapy goals and monitor progress.

Senior Speech Pathologist:

Lead the delivery of clinical services integrating research and practice.

Provide clinical supervision, coaching, and mentoring to junior staff.

Identify gaps in clinical practice and lead improvement initiatives.

Represent the team in strategic and leadership forums.

Model effective leadership and hold team members accountable to results.

About You

Eligible for a Medicare provider number and NDIA registration.

Current SPA registration.

Valid driver’s licence and access to a car when required.

Speech Pathologist Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of clinical experience, including autism early intervention.

Familiarity with National Guidelines for supporting autistic children in Australia.

Senior Speech Pathologist Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, with leadership and supervisory roles.

Demonstrated success in mentoring, training, or managing clinical staff.

Proven ability to translate research into clinical innovation.
