Band 5 salary: $80,810.26 - $92,898.75 plus 12% superannuation

We are currently seeking an Asset Protection Officer to join the Asset Planning Team on a permanent full-time basis.
The role:
As Asset Protection Officer you will:
- Administer the City's asset protection system to minimise damage to public infrastructure assets, avoid pollution and optimise public safety at building sites.
- Develop and maintain the City's Asset Protection System for security bonds, road openings, road opening restorations, road occupations, building site asset inspections, vehicle crossing permits, drainage tappings and service installations.
- Assess applications for vehicle crossing modifications and provide repair, restoration and rectification quotes for contractors, service authorities, and residents.
You will need:
- Post trade certificate or post-secondary qualification plus some on the job training.
- Experience in contract supervision relating to road maintenance and construction is desirable.
- A basic knowledge of the sections of Council's Road Management Plan and Local Laws, Policies, Local Government Act and Road Management Bill relating to Asset protection.
- A basic knowledge and understanding of Council Standards and Design Guideline and ability to read and understand construction drawings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential information and produce clear reports and correspondence.
- Proven commitment to quality customer service, including conflict resolution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
