Immediate Start | Minimum 3-Month Contract

Are you a seasoned Health and Safety Advisor with a strong background in large-scale construction projects? We are a leading Tier 1 construction company and we are urgently seeking an experienced professional to join our team on a key project in metropolitan Adelaide. This is a minimum 3-month contract role with an immediate start available.

About the Role

As the Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our safety culture on-site. You will be responsible for providing expert advice, driving safety initiatives, and ensuring strict adherence to all health and safety legislation and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement control measures.
• Lead site safety inductions and toolbox talks to ensure all personnel are aware of safety requirements.
• Investigate and report on all incidents, near misses, and injuries, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Provide practical and effective health and safety advice to project management, supervisors, and site teams.
• Assist in the development and review of Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and other safety documentation.
• Monitor contractor compliance with project safety standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor, ideally with a minimum of 3 years in the construction industry.
• Excellent knowledge of South Australian WHS legislation and relevant codes of practice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage with people at all levels.
• A proactive and pragmatic approach to safety management.
• Relevant safety qualifications (e.g., Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety).
