Sydney Health & Care Services (SHCS) is growing in the Hunter / Newcastle region and we’re looking for warm, reliable Community Support Workers to help people with disability live safely, independently and on their own terms.

What you’ll do

Provide personal care (e.g., showering, dressing, grooming, bowel care)

Assist with medication (in line with care plans)

Help with meals & household tasks (cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping)

Support community access – appointments, social activities, transport

Work with clients on their NDIS goals and encourage independence

Keep simple, accurate shift notes and documentation

You’ll bring

Experience in disability support, aged care, community care or similar (lived experience also valued)

A compassionate, professional manner and great communication

Driver’s licence + reliable car (KM reimbursed per policy)

Basic tech skills to complete notes on a phone or tablet

Nice to have (or willing to obtain)

First Aid & CPR

NDIS Worker Screening Check & WWCC (NSW)

Manual Handling training

Relevant study (e.g., Cert III Individual Support, Nursing, Allied Health)
