About Us:
We are a leading precision manufacturing company supplying high-quality components to industries where accuracy, quality, and consistency are critical. With a focus on continuous improvement and cutting-edge technology, we are seeking a skilled CNC & CMM Operator to join our team.
The Role:
As a CNC & CMM Operator, you will be responsible for operating CNC machines and using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure that components meet strict quality specifications. You will work closely with our production and quality teams to maintain high standards across all stages of the manufacturing process. You will also assist in the assembly of parts prior to despatching final assemblies to the customer, ensuring our products meet the required specifications and delivery schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate CNC milling machines
• Interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications
• Perform in-process and final inspection using CMM and manual measurement tools
• Conduct first-off inspections and complete inspection reports
• Maintain accurate documentation and records
• Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated • Identify and resolve machining or measurement issues
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
• Assist in the assembly of components before dispatching final assemblies to customers
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience with a basic understanding of CMM inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
• Understanding of CMM measurements beneficial (training will be provided as needed)
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Must be legally entitled to work in Australia and hold the appropriate visa or residency status
