About the role
Scotch Oakburn College, a leading independent school in Launceston, Tasmania, is seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Early Learning to oversee our exceptional Early Learning program. This full-time role is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure the highest quality educational experiences for our young learners.

What you'll be doing

Lead the development and implementation of a dynamic early learning curriculum that aligns with the National Quality Standard and Early Years Learning Framework

Oversee the daily operations of the Early Learning Centre, including staffing, resource management, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment

Foster strong relationships with families, actively engaging them in their children's learning and development

Work collaboratively with the school leadership team to integrate the Early Learning program within the wider school community

Drive continuous improvement through the monitoring and evaluation of the Early Learning program

Represent the Early Learning Centre and advocate for high-quality Early Childhood Education

What we're looking for

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood Education or a related field

Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the early learning sector

Proven track record of developing and implementing engaging, play-based learning programs

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and staff

Thorough understanding of the National Quality Standard, Early Years Learning Framework, and relevant Early Childhood Education regulations

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for delivering exceptional early learning experiences
