About the role:
Reporting to the Manager Enterprise Cybersecurity GRC & Awareness, the Cyber Security Officer will work within the Cyber Security Unit (CSU) to coordinate and implement improvement and business as usual activities across the unit.
The primary purpose of the Cyber Security Analyst role is to support the Cyber Security Unit (CSU) by assisting with the coordination and maintenance of the unit's work tasks, documentation, policies, and procedures. This role plays a key part in maintaining good practices across CSU operations.

About you:
Do you have experience in?
- Under direction, and in accordance with process guidelines and agreed timelines, analyse security events to help triage and identify security incidents to reduce the risk of data breaches and downtime.
- Maintain a funded agency list (to include portfolio entities) which will encompass associated correspondence resulting from communications with funded agencies, including their access to the SharePoint portal.
- May lead a team through activities including individual and team performance management and development
- Explains concepts and policies to clients, stakeholders and staff
- Assist with the coordination, collection and archiving of artefacts for internal and external audits and assessments.
- Under direction, prepare accurate data for the Victorian Protective Data Security Standards (VPDSS) annual reporting process.
Qualifications
A relevant IT degree or qualification.
