The Surf Club Mooloolaba is seeking an experienced and hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations in our high volume Boathouse Restaurant. This pivotal role will oversee service delivery, team leadership, and operational excellence to ensure every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable dining experience.

About the Club

Situated in an absolute beachfront position on Mooloolaba Beach, The Surf Club Mooloolaba is a landmark venue on the Sunshine Coast with over 46,000 members. Our modern facilities include a newly renovated 280-seat Boathouse Restaurant, 32-tap contemporary bar, Bayview BayView Restaurant, TAB, Keno, 40-machine gaming lounge, and expansive oceanfront deck.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Boathouse Restaurant’s daily service and operations

Coach, mentor, and develop front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional service

Oversee rostering, labour management, and operational budgets

Ensure venue presentation and service standards align with Club expectations

Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to optimise service flow and guest satisfaction

Maintain compliance with licensing, WHS, and food safety regulations

Drive a positive, engaged, and high-performance culture within the team

About You

Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or senior FOH leader in a high-volume venue

Strong leadership skills with a collaborative, hands-on approach

Exceptional organisational and time-management abilities

Experience managing budgets, rosters, and cost controls effectively

Commitment to delivering an outstanding guest experience

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rotating roster
