Neighbouring the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia’s World Heritage-listed Lamington National Park, Beechmont Estate is a premier luxury retreat nestled in the heart of the Scenic Rim, offering world-class dining and hospitality experiences. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager to lead our two-hatted Restaurant, 'The Paddock' - renowned for its exceptional culinary offerings, paddock-to-plate philosophy and elevated fine-dining service.
The Role
As the Restaurant Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our restaurant and bar, ensuring an outstanding dining experience for our guests. You will work closely with the Executive Chef and General Manager to maintain the highest standards of service, manage costs effectively, and drive the ongoing success of our venue.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
Oversee all food and beverage operations to ensure exceptional service and guest satisfaction.
Maintain and elevate service standards in line with fine dining and two-hatted restaurant expectations.
Implement and refine service procedures, ensuring efficiency and consistency.
Work closely with the Executive Chef to curate a world-class dining experience.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
Financial & Budgetary Control
Manage and monitor Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), ensuring food and beverage costs align with targets set by management.
Develop and manage F&B budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and profitability.
Prepare weekly reports for the General Manager, covering revenue, expenses, staffing, and stock control.
Implement effective inventory management, minimizing waste while maximizing profitability.
Staffing & Leadership
Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team passionate about hospitality and fine dining.
Roster staff effectively to meet operational demands while staying within budget.
Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and professional development.
Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing training to maintain service excellence.
Guest Experience & Brand Representation
Ensure all guests receive a premium dining experience with seamless service.
Handle guest feedback and concerns professionally, resolving issues proactively.
Work collaboratively with the marketing team to support F&B promotions and special events, including Weddings.
Represent Beechmont Estate’s values and commitment to sustainability and local produce.
About You
Proven experience managing fine-dining or two-hatted restaurants.
Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, COGS, and rostering.
Passion for food, wine, and hospitality with a deep understanding of Food & Wine knowledge.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-end hospitality environment.
