The Empire Hotel is seeking a hands on cleaning team superstar to lead our busy team. Our multifaceted venue hosts an array of events

The roster:

As we trade late nights 7 days per week, the role requires a Thursday – Monday roster with a 5am starting time.

The role:

A standard day would see you arrive to site and commence allocating and executing the daily cleaning tasks as per the structured checklists for each outlet.

Prior to an area being deemed clean you would inspect the area to ensure standards are maintained.

You would report any maintenance issues identified during the course of the shift, ensure all carts and equipment are replenished and operational and undertake tasks from monthly and quarterly cleaning checklists.

You will spend 1 – 2 hours each Monday with the venue operations manager to allocate rostering positions, order any required consumables or coordinate any additional tasks as they arise

Key responsibilities:

• Actively participate in and oversee the execution of cleaning tasks, ensuring top-quality service and adherence to health and safety standards.

• Maintain strict compliance with health and safety regulations and ensure the team follows company standards and policies.

• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring their optimal use and maintenance.

• Conduct site inspections to guarantee service quality and compliance with client specifications.

About you:

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in the cleaning or HVAC industry

• Knowledge of health and safety practices within the cleaning industry

• Hands-on approach and willingness to participate in cleaning tasks.

• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team

• Ability to multitask and mange time efficiently

Experience with carpet cleaning equipment is an advantage but not essential.

This is a permanent full time position with an annualised salary between $75,000 - $85,000. Remuneration is based upon experience, full working rights are required.
