We have an opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced QA Engineer (site based) as we expand our operations in Tanami, Northern Territory.

About the role:

HTS Constructions is seeking a QA Engineer for working across multiple disciplines. This position would suit a mid-career Civil Engineer (3-8 years) with prior experience in a similar site-based role.

Take advantage of an even-time, 2:2 roster with the position open to candidates in Brisbane, Perth, Darwin or Alice Springs. This role demands high attention to detail, solid technical knowledge, and superior documentation development skills.

You will:

Assist with developing practical and safe construction methodologies aligned with project specifications and constraints.

Prepare and manage the lifecycle of Technical Queries (TQs), including issue identification, liaison with designers or consultants, and coordination of resolution with construction teams.

Review drawings, specifications, and construction plans to forecast material and subcontractor requirements. Assist in the procurement of equipment, materials, and services.

Develop Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Inspection Test Records (ITRs) to meet project and client quality assurance requirements. Oversee their implementation and compliance onsite.

Compile and maintain all project records, test results, approvals, and as-builts required for the Manufacturer's Data Report (MDR) and final project handover documentation.

Collaborate with civil, structural, and mechanical teams to ensure interface issues are managed and works are delivered efficiently and safely.

Be a key technical support contact for site supervisors and subcontractors, assisting with resolving onsite issues and ensuring compliance with approved designs and procedures.

Ensure all engineering deliverables and site works are conducted in accordance with project safety, environmental, and quality management systems.

You will have:

Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card).

Member or Fellow of Australian Engineers.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality or engineering roles, ideally within the construction, mining, or oil & gas sectors.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
