One full time vacancy is available, either ongoing or fixed for 2 years
As the Clinical Coordinator - Continuous Quality Improvement/ Professional Practice Nurse, you will support PHC staff in applying quality improvement processes and clinical standards using established systems and help develop activities aligned with best practice and the NT Aboriginal Health Forum Endorsed CQI Model. You’ll assist in managing resources, including clinical equipment procurement, and contribute to guideline development, policy interpretation, and change management to improve service delivery.
You’ll also travel to remote areas by road, light plane to stay for up to a week as required.
To be successful you’ll have:
Current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or eligible for same.
Proven advanced clinical knowledge and skills, in Primary or Remote Health or related area supported by strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
Proven proficiency in understanding and applying professional bodies of knowledge to provide advice and support
Experience supporting local/ regional policy development, interpreting policy and precedent, and contributing to change management initiatives.
Well-developed knowledge and understanding of social and cultural factors influencing the provision of health care
Ongoing appointment is subject to attainment of Graduate Diploma, or equivalent, beyond entry-to-practice in Primary or Remote Health Care or related area.
