Vinova are working with a leading energy infrastructure business focusing on developing and constructing utility-scale renewable energy projects across Australia. We are currently supporting the build out of their design team and are looking for a Engineering Design Lead, Senior Design Managers and Design Managers. These are permanent roles guiding multi-disciplinary design across large renewable and grid projects, with a focus on high-voltage integration and quality delivery.

What you'll do

Lead the end-to-end design function from concept to construction documentation, setting standards and ensuring quality across multiple projects.

Provide strategic input in early feasibility, align design choices to the business case, and approve major decisions.

Build and mentor a high-performing team, setting structure, responsibilities and a culture of collaboration and improvement.

Front key stakeholder meetings as the senior design voice; communicate vision, resolve complex issues and balance design integrity with project constraints.

Own design QA, risk identification and mitigation, and compliance with codes and sustainability goals.

Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement and construction to deliver fully integrated solutions and resolve coordination issues.

Monitor design decisions against budget and drive value engineering with the delivery and estimating teams.

What you'll bring

Degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred); Master's advantageous.

10+ years in the Renewable, Power or Electricity sector and 10+ years leading design management focused on renewables/HV.

Experience working on BESS, Solar, Wind or Substations

Strength in problem solving, operational decision-making and driving results in dynamic projects; solid knowledge of solar farm standards and regulatory requirements.
