ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher Assistant – Learning Support to join our team. This role is a one-year fixed term contract, working full time, term time. The role is ideal for someone with prior experience and/or training in education support or as a Teacher Assistant, who is passionate about supporting students' learning and development.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work under the guidance of the Head of Learning Support, teachers, and the Head of Primary. You will play a key role in helping deliver targeted learning programs to support students.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will hold a current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or be eligible to obtain one, along with a relevant qualification such as a Teacher Assistant Certificate III or equivalent, and a current First Aid Certificate including CPR.
You will have demonstrated experience supporting teachers and students in a classroom setting, with strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students. A calm, supportive, and professional approach is essential, particularly when working with young children in challenging situations. The candidate should be confident using digital tools such as the Google Suite and school management systems, and capable of managing multiple tasks with discretion and confidentiality. A collaborative mindset, strong organisational skills, and a willingness to learn and act in the best interests of students are key to success in this role.
