Cadence Connect is working with a well-established ASX-listed organisation to recruit a Management Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio of entities, deliver accurate and insightful reporting, and play a key role in supporting client success and business performance.

About the role

You will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of monthly management accounts, including reconciliations, compliance, and commentary. You’ll manage relationships with a portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted finance partner and advisor.

You’ll also oversee and develop 1–2 offshore accountants, ensuring the quality of their work and supporting their professional growth. There is scope to contribute to process improvements, help shape best practices, and enhance the finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, reconciliations, and commentary
• Manage client relationships, expectations, and onboarding/offboarding processes
• Prepare and lodge GST/VAT & payroll tax returns
• Supervise, coach, and develop offshore accountants
• Support clients in understanding financial principles and software systems
• Identify and drive process improvements across reporting and workflows
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Finance, Operations, IT, and Legal

About you

• Degree qualified in Accounting (CA/CPA desirable)
• Background in business services is essential
• Strong experience preparing management accounts and compliance reporting
• Strong Excel and financial reporting skills
• High attention to detail with solid analytical ability
• Strong communicator, confident managing clients and stakeholders
• Experience mentoring or supervising staff desirable
• Proactive, with a continuous improvement mindset
