Steel Fabricators / Welders – Rocklea – Day Shift

$52.50 p/hr Casual | Ongoing Work | Immediate Start

A leading steel fabrication and manufacturing company in Rocklea is looking for experienced Sheet Metal Fabricators and Boilermakers with strong TIG welding skills. This role offers consistent hours, great pay, and the chance to work with a skilled team on high-quality projects.

The Role

• Day shift, Monday to Friday
• Casual rate: $52.50 p/hr
• Immediate starts available
• On-site TIG weld test required (approx. 2 hours)
• Bring your own PPE – helmet, gloves, boots, hi-vis & long pants

What We’re Looking For

• Trade qualification in Fabrication or Boiler making
• TIG welding experience, particularly with stainless steel (2mm)
• Skilled in fillet welds, pipe welds, and corner welds
• Ability to weld Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminium, and Q&T Steel
• Must pass drug & alcohol testing
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

Highly Regarded Skills

• TIG welding with 2.4mm tungsten & 1.6mm rods
• Experience with materials 2mm–20mm
• Welding aluminium (5000 & 6000 series), stainless, mild, and Q&T steels
• Boilermakers confident in TIG welding

Weld Test Details

Applicants will complete four TIG weld tests on stainless steel (2mm thickness):

• Fillet welds (multi-sided)
• Pipe weld on plate
• Corner welds
• Tests are conducted on-site – last session begins at 1:30 PM.
