The Role

FHR currently have multiple opportunities for a Welder, Boilermaker or Fabricator to join our client that specialises in the garage door industry. This opportunity is located in Eagle Farm and we have immediate starts available for the candidates who're successful in their application for these positions.

• This role offers work Monday to Thursday 6am to 2:30pm, Friday 6am to 12pm (overtime & weekend work available)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding and fabrication of steel components used in the manufacture and installation of garage doors
• Read and interpret technical drawings and measurements to accurately assemble door frames, brackets and support structures
• Cut, shape and prepare metal using hand and power tools including grinders, saws and oxy/acetylene equipment
• Inspect and test welded joints to ensure structural integrity and compliance with industry standards
• Assist with fitting and assembling fabricated parts during production or onsite installation of garage doors
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and workshop area to ensure a clean, safe and efficient work environment

Skills & Experience

• Experience as a Welder, Boilermaker or Fabricator
• Experience working in garage door industry
• Physically fit or experience working in a physically demanding role
