About the role

H&M Tracey Construction Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Commercial Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Broome, WA. This full-time role will be responsible for overseeing the successful completion of commercial construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

What you'll be doing

Manage day-to-day site operations across multiple commercial builds

Prepare and manage project schedules to ensure timelines are met

Lead subcontractors and ensure high standards of safety and quality

Assist the Project Manager with budgeting, procurement, and execution

Coordinate RFIs and communicate effectively with clients and consultants

Read and interpret plans, conduct take-offs, and support site reporting

Oversee defect rectification and drive project completion

Providing effective on-site supervision and leadership to construction crews

Developing and implementing project plans, schedules and budgets

Monitoring project progress and identifying and resolving any issues or risks

Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure their needs are met

Ensuring compliance onsite with all relevant WHS requirements

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years' experience in a commercial construction supervisory role

Experience in projects over $5m highly regarded

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and building regulations

Hands-on experience in various construction trades, with a thorough understanding of the construction process, critical inspection points, and permit requirements.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Be approachable and confident in dealing with a variety of people.

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with conflicting priorities.

Thorough understanding the construction process, critical inspection points, permit and WHS requirements.

Understanding of relevant Building codes and Australian standards and State legislation.

Ability to work fast-paced in a deadline-driven environment
