About the role

As an Estimator at Australis Roofing & Cladding Pty Ltd, you will play a crucial role in the company's success, responsible for providing accurate and competitive estimates for a variety of construction projects. This full-time position is based in Baringa, Queensland, and offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of a dynamic and ambitious organisation.

What you'll be doing

Building relationships, liaising with suppliers and clients

Completing detailed quality take-offs on roofing and cladding packages

Preparing tender submissions, estimates, and schedules for projects

Ensuring that quotes are detailed, broken down, and inclusions and exclusions are documented clearly

Managing tender inquiries and ensuring that tenders are submitted within the specified time frames, with a detailed SOW included

Following up with clients to determine the outcome of tenders and obtain feedback

Liaising with existing clients to ensure repeat opportunities to quote

Identify new/alternative business opportunities

Manage tender reviews and ensure appropriate documentation is prepared

Handover of successful tenders to the project team for delivery

Working collaboratively with the Project delivery team and assisting in pricing variations

What we're looking for

Construction background (Roofing/cladding preferred)

The ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Technical knowledge of the building construction process

Experience in preparing and submitting tenders

Commercial background preferred

Strong attention to detail

Experience with estimating tools such as Procore, PlanSwift, Blue Beam etc, preferred
