Causal Agitator Driver | Toowoomba, QLD

Driving a concrete agitator truck for Heidelberg Materials is more than just going from A to B and back again. Our Agitator drivers provide high levels of customer service to our clients receiving our products, becoming the face of our business. As an Agi Driver, you will be making multiple deliveries throughout the day and interacting with lots of different people. Every day will be different, there's nothing routine about this role!

About the role:

• Rates: $40.76ph (inclusive of loading) plus penalties (rate X 1.5 after 8 hours, rate X 2.0 after 10 hours).
• Operate batch plant
• Use of Front-End Loader (ticket desirable)
• You will be based at our Toowoomba Concrete Plant reporting to the Plant Manager.
• Most days will start between 4/6am and drivers can do up to and over 8 hours per day, and around 40-50 hours per week. Saturday work is generally available, paid at overtime rates
• Monthly travel may be required within the region, meals/accommodation is supplied.
• As we mentioned, driving an Agi is like being a Customer Service Agent on wheels. You will be dealing with lots of different personalities every day, so you need to be comfortable interacting with people you haven't met before
• We provide cutting edge technology to not only keep you safe whilst driving, but also to help you map your routes and keep track of your loads.
• All new starts go through a 10-day training program before we let you loose by yourself.

About you:

• Minimum of HR license (essential) with previous driving experience (preferred)
• You enjoy meeting people and having a chat with them when you're onsite
• You prefer variety in your working life. No two days are ever the same when you're driving one of our Agi trucks
• You take pride in the appearance of your truck. Keep it clean, give it a wash and present the best image of our company. You are a mobile billboard and people notice a dirty truck
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test (random testing is also conducted on all Heidelberg Materials sites)
