The Role

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support our General Manager in delivering high-quality retail and commercial fit-outs. This role is ideal for someone with construction/fit-out experience who is organised, proactive, and bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese.

You will work closely with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the General Manager in overseeing multiple fit-out projects

Schedule and coordinate trades and subcontractors

Review drawings and plans to check compliance and ensure work is delivered correctly

Conduct site inspections and report on progress/issues

Prepare and maintain project documentation, variations, and updates

Rostering and workforce coordination

Liaise with shopping centre management regarding access, permits, and compliance

Maintain strong communication with clients and internal teams

Skills & Experience

Experience in shopfitting, construction, or commercial interiors (2 years experience preferred)

Knowledge of project processes, scheduling, and contractor management

Strong ability to read and interpret drawings/plans

Excellent organisational and communication skills

Bilingual – English and Mandarin Chinese (required to liaise with subcontractors and suppliers)

Proficiency with MS Office, project management tools

What We Offer

Competitive salary: $70,000 – $90,000 + super (negotiable based on experience)
