The Department is seeking candidates for two fixed-term positions to bolster the team in the Big Rivers Region.
Senior Client Services Officer (AO5) fixed to the 20 May 2027
Housing Case Officer (AO5) fixed to 30 June 2026.
Applicants will be assessed against both positions and offers of employment will be made by the Selection Panel based on the applicants’ experience and suitability for the respective role.
As a Senior Client Services Officer, you provide a high level of customer service to clients within the Big Rivers Region seeking assistance with accommodation in public housing, requests for referrals to support services and information relating to public housing programs and financial assistance.
Your key duties include, managing public housing waitlists, profiling clients and allocating properties to maximise the provision of housing and minimises rent loss. Participating in the provision of advice issuing formal correspondence and accurately recording data on the Department’s information system.
As a Housing Case Officer, you undertake activities related to key reform agendas and priorities across both remote and urban public housing portfolios with a primary focus on rent collection, rental arrears and debt management.
Your key duties include providing quality support and service to urban and remote public housing tenants, managing obligations under the Residential Tenancies Act and Housing Act and coordinating property inspections, rent collections and payment arrangements.
To be successful, you will have a track record of working independently, confidentially and effectively in a service delivery environment, have well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively, build relationships and communicate sensitively and credibly with Aboriginal tenants, clients and stakeholders.
