Essential Catering and Events is seeking an experienced and passionate Sales & Events Co-ordinator to join our team during an exciting period of growth. This is a contract roll full time covering maternity leave and we are looking for a friendly events guru to join our wonderful team.

Essential Catering and Events has gone from strength to strength in Victoria's catering and events industries over the last 17 years. We are a boutique caterer that provides exceptional catering, venues and events.

We manage a range of stunning wedding and event spaces across Victoria – in Melbourne and the Yarra Valley as well as working with a range of businesses and organisations both locally and in Melbourne's CBD and surrounds .

We are a team of passionate foodies – customer service and strong partnerships are everything to us!

We are experiencing exciting growth and are looking for a like minded catering and event industry professional to join our close knit team for the next exciting chapter

About The Role:

You will be located in our sales office at Hawthorn Arts Centre working in an automatous role, in the day to day sales and coordination of our event business.

This role is our key communication channel to one of our busiest event spaces.

This role is involved with events ranging from elaborate corporate soiree's, meetings/conferencing, through to weddings.

Sales of events, event planning & preparation and production of event orders

About You:

You are passionate about events and food

You are confident and have good customer service skills

Worked in a similar admin role and understands the dynamics of key stake holders

Familiar with different software applications and IT solutions

Works well unsupervised and uses initiative to problem solve and meet customer expectations

You love working in a friendly team environment

You have excellent communication skills – both written and verbal

You have exceptional attention to detail

You have a positive, enthusiastic can do attitude
