Part-time council role available as industrial cleaner

Your new company

Our client is a local government council committed to maintaining clean, safe and vibrant public spaces across Canberra. With a strong focus on community wellbeing and urban presentation, the council is seeking a dedicated Graffiti Remover & Litter Collection Worker to join their city maintenance team on a part-time basis.

Your new role

As a graffiti remover and litter collection worker, you'll be responsible for:

• Removing graffiti from public infrastructure using chemical treatments and pressure washers
  
• Operating blowers to clear leaves and debris from footpaths, parks and public areas
  
• Collecting litter and maintaining cleanliness across designated zones
  
• Performing general tidying duties including painting, minor surface restoration and upkeep of public amenities
  
• Supporting the team in maintaining a high standard of presentation across Queanbeyan's urban environment
  

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful for this position, you'll need:

• A valid White Card and Chemical Handling Certificate are essential
  
• Ability to pass regular drug and alcohol testing
  
• Previous experience in outdoor maintenance, cleaning or council operations is highly regarded
  
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards keeping public spaces clean
  
• Comfortable working independently and in all weather conditions
  

What you'll get in return

• Casual pay rate of $37.50 per hour
  
• Part-time hours: 7:00am - 12:30pm, 3 days per week
