A rare and exciting opportunity has become available for a Head of Property Management to join this well known, highly successful name in Melbourne's Inner CBD (Armadale Area).

This role will be responsible for leading and developing the property management department of this well known and highly regarded real estate company. The position will support, drive and engage the property management team, by following and enacting the company's direction and vision, as well as the high values they hold. The position will focus on developing the team, providing training opportunities, ensuring the department is compliant and oversee the departments budget.

Along with this, the role will focus on ensuring the most up to date policies and procedures are in place to support the team of 11. The property management department is made up of 7 Property Managers, 1 Leasing Consultant, 1 BDM and 2 VA's.

The growth, development and maintenance of the Department is an essential part of the role, as an important asset of the business.

What you'll be doing

Oversee all aspects of the property management function, including tenant management, maintenance, financial reporting and compliance

Develop and implement strategies to grow the property management portfolio and enhance service delivery

Provide expert advice and guidance to landlords and tenants on all property-related matters

Manage and mentor a team of property managers, fostering a positive and productive work environment

Ensure the property management division operates efficiently and profitably within the company's overall business strategy

Collaborate with the sales and leasing teams to provide a seamless client experience

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, legislation and best practices in property management

What we're looking for

Minimum 10 years' experience in senior property management roles

Proven track record of successfully leading and growing a property management department

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build strong relationships with landlords, tenants and internal stakeholders

Thorough understanding of relevant real estate legislation, regulations and industry best practices

Strong financial acumen and the ability to interpret and report on financial data

Exceptional communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills

Ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team
