About the Role
The Senior Consultant (SharePoint) is responsible for the strategic design, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of the Project Management Officer (PMO) SharePoint environment. This role ensures the platform supports secure collaboration, document management, workflow automation, and compliance with GIICA’s digital and governance standards.
As the owner of the Program Delivery Management System (PDMS), the Senior Consultant (SharePoint) plays a critical role in supporting the digital maturity of the PMO and enabling effective program delivery. The role works closely with internal stakeholders and enterprise teams to ensure the SharePoint environment is scalable, user-friendly, and aligned with the needs of a complex infrastructure program.
In joining the Authority, you will join a team of hard-working professionals, dedicated to preparing Queensland for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The salary on offer is between $120,000-$130,000 per annum commensurate with experience, plus 12.75% superannuation. This is a full-time, fixed-term role for 2-years with the possibility of extension.

The Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority (GIICA) is laying the foundations for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games and beyond.

About your Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage the SharePoint architecture aligned with the PMO Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), ensuring seamless integration with Microsoft 365 tools and support for secure, scalable collaboration.
Establish and maintain governance frameworks, including access controls, compliance with the Information Retention and Disposal Schedule (IRDS), and probity workflows for user onboarding and offboarding.
Provide user support and training by developing onboarding materials, maintaining the PDMS interface, and ensuring accessibility of PMO guidance documents.
Lead data management initiatives including migration from legacy systems, enabling reporting for schedule, cost, and risk, and supporting continuous improvement across PMO workstreams.
Collaborate with internal teams such as DSDI ITS, Strategic Procurement, and Cyber Security to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and digital maturity goals.
Support governance forums and stakeholder engagement by managing document classification, secure sharing protocols, and user access in line with program requirements.
About You
You have extensive experience in SharePoint Online architecture, administration, and governance, with strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools including Power Automate, Power BI, and Teams.
You are skilled in managing permissions, security classifications, and compliance workflows, and are familiar with Queensland Government information security and probity requirements.
You excel at translating complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly training and guidance materials for diverse audiences.
You bring strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
You have supported large-scale infrastructure or capital delivery programs, ideally within public sector or large enterprise environments.
You hold relevant certifications or experience in Microsoft 365 technologies, enterprise document management systems (e.g., ‘The Source’), and have working knowledge of project management
