Kirin Industries is a growing Australian manufacturer of truck bodies and innovative aluminium pantech solutions (ALLYPAN®). We build and fit out a wide range of truck bodies including tippers, pantechs, curtain siders, and custom solutions for both light and heavy vehicles. Our workshop is expanding, and we are looking for reliable Fit-Out Workers to join our team.

Position Overview

As a Fit-Out Worker, you will be responsible for the final assembly and fit-out of truck bodies, including installation of components, hardware, flooring, and quality finishing. This role is hands-on and requires good mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out the fit-out and final assembly of truck bodies, including:

Installation of flooring, internal panelling, and aluminium/composite materials

Fitting of doors, locks, hinges, rubber seals, tie rails, and load restraint systems

Installation of lighting, wiring, tailgate loaders, and other accessories

Mounting and finishing of toolboxes, mudguards, and underbody equipment

Work from engineering drawings, job sheets, and supervisor instructions.

Operate basic hand and power tools (drills, riveters, grinders, etc.) safely and effectively.

Assist with lifting, aligning, and securing panels and components.

Ensure quality control through clean, accurate, and professional workmanship.

Work within a team to meet production targets and deadlines.

Maintain a safe and organised work environment in compliance with WHS policies.

Skills & Requirements

Previous experience in truck body building, automotive fitting, carpentry, cabinet making, metalwork, or mechanical assembly is highly desirable.

Ability to read and follow drawings, job sheets, and measurement instructions.

Strong hands-on skills with hand tools and power tools.

Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.

Good teamwork, reliability, and willingness to learn.

Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks (lifting, bending, standing).

Forklift licence, confined space, or welding experience would be an advantage but not essential.
