The opportunity:
An amazing career opportunity exists for a talented and innovative Commis Chef to join our team! If you enjoy variety in your days and nights and are passionate about food trends as well as delivering quality cuisine with flair - then this is a role for you! You will be required to work across a variety of restaurants with menu styles which may include A la carte, buffet, international street food, catering and baking.

Your day to day:
• Conduct food preparation and cooking duties ensuring menu items are prepared to recipe and quality standards
• Apply and monitor food safety procedures to ensure all menu items are prepared and served in line with food safety standards
• Ensure portion control and food quality while maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic work area
• Awareness of mealtimes and the importance of speed, time, efficiency and presentation of all meals
• Ensure all guest special requests, including dietary needs, are acknowledged and variations created
• Mentor and motivate Apprentice Chefs to achieve a high standard of service

What you’ll bring
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery essential
• Industry experience in high volume kitchen operations an advantage
• Comprehensive understanding of food hygiene and Food Safety program
• Knowledge of customer dietary requirements such as food allergies and intolerances etc.
• A passion for your craft and high standards of food production
• Available to work varied shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and public holidays.
