Cleared Recruitment is partnering with a prominent global defence technology group to source experienced Electro-Optronics Engineers for cutting-edge surveillance and imaging system programs. Based in Sydney, this opportunity offers international collaboration and technical leadership across multidisciplinary optronic platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the design, development, and integration of advanced imaging systems and sensor payloads
• Develop performance models, vision algorithms, and stabilised control architectures for mission environments
• Define systems-level requirements and support testing and validation in lab-based environments
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams across optics, electronics, and embedded software
• Engage in documentation, supplier interaction, and prototype development lifecycle planning

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor's or higher in Optics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field
• Minimum 5 years' experience in electro-optical or sensor technology design
• Background in one or more areas such as:
• Optical system modelling and sensor integration
• Algorithm development, image processing, sensor fusion
• Control systems and verification testing
• Strong technical documentation and stakeholder engagement skills
• Australian baseline security clearance (NV1 eligibility advantageous)
