Permanent teaching position with 3 year Position of Added Responsibility (subject to review and renewal after 3 years)
The Head of Humanities is the curriculum team manager who shares with the school's responsibility for delivering curriculum within the Humanities subjects and activities across the Secondary College and oversees the Humanities Department and teachers.
Core Duties
Provide effective leadership to the Humanities Department to develop engaging programs that will foster a love of Humanities subjects for our students.
Plan, deliver and assess effective teaching programs in line with Australian Professional Standards, QLD curriculum frameworks and educational trends.
Contribute to the Secondary leadership of the College to support and enact the College's strategic teaching and learning priorities.

About You
You have personal views and beliefs that align with the Christian ethos of the College, and you are able to demonstrate an active faith and church involvement and are able to teach and live from a Biblical worldview.
You will be an Australian qualified teacher with QLD Teacher's Registration or registration with another state and the ability to obtain QLD Teacher's registration;
A combination of Humanities subjects (which could include Senior Business, Legal Studies, Modern History, Social & Community Studies, 7-10 HASS) would be your main teaching set;
Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills;
A passion for educating young people;
Ability to build connections and rapport with students while maintaining professionalism;
Energetic and positive attitude.
Annual wage will be dependent on relevant experience.
