To support our continued success and growth, we are expanding our team and seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join us.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join our team. This is a critical role for the ongoing growth and success of our business. You will be tasked with managing the credit processing function and supporting a team of five brokers to deliver outstanding client outcomes.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of credit processing across residential and specialist lending. You will have ownership of the credit workflow, from initial assessment through to settlement, and be the key point of support for brokers on complex credit matters.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing the credit processing side of the business, supporting five brokers

Reviewing bank statements, credit reports, and income documentation

Completing borrowing capacity calculations and credit analysis

Loan packaging and processing across multiple lenders

Lodging loan applications via Mercury and Apply Online

Coordinating valuations, pricing requests, and settlement bookings

Managing compliance documentation and regulatory requirements

Liaising with clients, lenders, solicitors, and brokers to ensure smooth approvals

Making quality recommendations on complex and high-value deals

About You

You will bring proven experience in credit assessment, loan packaging, and residential lending, ideally within a mortgage broking business.

Key requirements include:

Minimum 2 years’ loan packaging & processing experience (At least 1 year experience in mortgage credit assessment)

ApplyOnline experience (essential)

Mercury experience (desired but not essential)

Experience with SMSF, trust, and company lending structures

Strong technical understanding of real estate and credit risk assessment

Proven ability to interpret financial and legal documents

Exceptional communication skills (written & verbal)

High attention to detail, strong analytical mindset, and ability to manage competing priorities

Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Credit Management, or a related field will be highly regarded. Experience with private or non-bank lending is also essential.
