Seeking an experienced IT Manager to join leading Australian owned International freight forwarder in Sydney, NSW. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's information technology infrastructure and ensuring seamless digital operations to support growing business.

What you'll be doing

Manage the company's IT systems, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure

Implement and maintain IT policies, procedures, and security measures to protect company data and ensure compliance

Provide technical support and troubleshooting to employees, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal productivity

Liaise with external IT service providers and vendors to coordinate the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of systems

Analyse business requirements and recommend technological solutions to improve efficiency and productivity

Develop and oversee the implementation of IT projects, including the deployment of new systems and applications

Monitor and report on the performance of IT systems, identifying areas for improvement

Manage the IT team, providing mentorship, training, and performance management as needed

What we're looking for

Extensive experience (8+ years) in an IT management role, preferably within the freight forwarding or logistics industry

Strong technical expertise in managing and maintaining enterprise-level IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networking

Proficient in project management, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and execute IT initiatives effectively

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues

Demonstrated experience in leading and developing IT teams, including performance management and training

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Ideally you have a Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity principles, e.g. SQL/SSRS Reporting etc.

Cargowise1 experience ideal but not essential
