Job Summary:

Albert Street Dental powered by Smile On Clinics is seeking a dynamic Dental Assistant superstar to join our team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and capable of providing exceptional patient care. Previous experience in implant dentistry is advantageous and highly valued. This role involves assisting dentists during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, and ensuring patients are comfortable throughout their visit.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Assistance:

Assist dentists during various procedures including exams, fillings, crowns, and implant surgeries.

Prepare and organise dental instruments, materials, and equipment.

Take and develop dental X-rays as required.

Provide patients with pre and post-operative instructions and care.

Patient Care:

Greet and prepare patients for their dental procedures.

Ensure patients are comfortable and well-informed about their treatments.

Maintain a high level of patient care and comfort during dental procedures.

Administrative Duties:

Update and maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.

Manage inventory and order dental supplies as needed.

Schedule patient appointments and manage dental office tasks as required.

Infection Control:

Follow all infection control protocols and ensure the sterilisation of dental instruments.

Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Qualifications:

Certification in Dental Assisting from an accredited program (preferred)

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant, with a focus on implant dentistry being advantageous.

Proficient in dental software and technology (experience with [D4W] is a plus).

Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Detail-oriented with a focus on patient care and safety.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Working Conditions:

Full-time position with regular shifts.

May require occasional overtime or weekend shifts depending on clinic needs.

Remuneration for this position ranges from $25 to $35 per hour, based on experience / Casual or P/Time. Candidates with significant relevant experience and qualifications will be considered for the higher end of the pay scale.
