The Sales Representative will be responsible to focus on the day-to-day customer sales activities while supporting associated operational aspects of the Mackay Trade Centre business. There is a strong focus on customer service in this role so excellent communication and good people skills are essential. The role would suit someone with past industry experience or looking to get off the tools.

The Role

The perfect candidate will be an enthusiastic, engaging, and committed individual with practical experience in the building industry. They will be required to complete tasks efficiently with a high level of accuracy and support our sales team with a view to providing the best possible service to our clients.

The successful applicant's role will include, but is not limited to:

Developing strong and mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholders across customer organisations, while strategically expanding and nurturing a high-value customer portfolio to drive growth and long-term partnership.

Manage and grow existing customer accounts through the execution of sound business development and sales promotion activities.

Liaise with Branch Managers regarding customers' requirements and to identify products and services to promote.

Liaise with internal sales team regarding customer projects and orders to maximise sales performance.

Maintain up to date knowledge of new products and services ranges and actively promote these to customers.

Achieve agreed sales and margin targets for each customer within your portfolio.

Liaise with other functions or business units of Porters Mitre 10 to ensure our customer requirements are met.
