Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and experienced cook to lead our kitchen team. As the Cook, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, creativity, and efficiency. Competitive annual salary between $74,000 - $80,000AUD plus superannuation will be offered to the successful candidate, reflecting our commitment to attracting top talent and rewarding excellence in the hospitality field.

Key Responsibilities:

· Inspecting food items to maintain quality standards

· Monitoring heat levels of ovens, grills, and other kitchen equipment

· Preparing, cooking, and presenting meals

· Flavouring dishes appropriately during the cooking process

· Dividing meals into portions, plating them, and adding sauces, gravies, and garnishes

· Preserving food in climate-controlled storage areas

· Preparing meals to suit specific dietary needs

· May design menus and calculate ingredient requirements

· May supervise and mentor kitchen staff and apprentices’ satisfaction.

Requirements:

· You have experience working as a cook in cafés, takeaway shops, or fast-service kitchens (2+ years desirable).

· You’re dependable, steady under pressure, and a genuine team collaborator.

· You’re comfortable managing a kitchen with strong organisational and time management skills.

· You take pride in maintaining a tidy, hygienic, and well-structured workspace.

· A Food Safety Certificate is advantageous but not mandatory.

· You enjoy positive energy, quality food, and being part of a team that appreciates both.

· A certificate III in commercial cookery is required
