Mader are seeking skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanics to carry out general maintenance, midlife overhauls and PCRs across a diverse fleet of surface mining equipment at our Groote Eylandt operations.

Working on a large fleet of open-cut mining equipment including CAT 777 & 785 trucks, CAT 993 loaders, CAT D11 dozers and Hitachi 2500 diggers, this role offers the chance to work on a unique site producing high-grade manganese ore.

The Role:

7/7 FIFO roster – rotating day/night shift (12.25 hour days)

Flights provided from Cairns or Darwin (Tuesdays)

Option to fly from Brisbane via overnight stay in Cairns

Tools provided on site

Skills & Experience:

Australian recognised trade certificate

Experience working on CAT & Hitachi surface mining equipment (highly regarded)

Expertise in general maintenance, midlife overhauls, PCRs, breakdowns, diagnostics and component-level repairs
