JOB DETAILS: Perm, Full Time 35 hours, 5 days per week $85,411.10 to $93,588.83 + super
JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Assistant Revenue Accountant, you will be responsible for efficient delivery of Council’s general accounts receivable function, including debt collection and providing regular cash flow projections.
You will be providing support and assistance to a client group of Directors, Managers, Coordinators, and project leads in relation invoicing, credit notes, receipting of payments, raising journals, AR reporting and other tasks as reasonably required.
You will also be assisting in monthly review of revenue transactions for compliance to GST legislation, assist in month end and year end process by preparing debtor and revenue related journals. Participate in monthly and/or quarterly meetings with key stakeholders aimed to improve business process.
ABOUT YOU
The successful applicant will have:
A degree in Accounting or Commerce
Demonstrated working experience in a high-volume AR environment in a medium to large organisation.
Well-developed knowledge and understanding of debt recovery principles and processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and
Ability to proactively engage and foster business partnering relationship with key internal stakeholders.
