About the role:
We’re on the hunt for a creative communicator with a flair for content creation. As our Marketing and Communications Officer, you’ll be part of a fast-paced, supportive team that’s all about engaging our community.

Your focus? Creating compelling content that showcases the people, places, and programs that make the City of Belmont special. You’ll be confident in traditional marketing channels and as a digital specialist you will also know how to make Reels pop, Stories shine, and LinkedIn posts land.

You will:

Work with the Media and Communications team to develop communication campaigns aligned to City strategies

Ensure the City’s messaging remains relevant and engaging for our community and stakeholders

Promote the City’s services, events, and achievements through a variety of channels.

About you:
You’re a natural storyteller with:

A relevant qualification (or significant progress towards one) in communications, marketing, media studies, or a related field.

Proven experience in developing and executing communication campaigns.

Strong skills in digital and social media platforms.

Excellent interpersonal and negotiation abilities.

A genuine passion for community and local impact.
