Mental Health Clinician - Ararat
Salary: $43.67 - $56.72 per hour (depending on discipline and experience)

About the role
As a Mental Health Clinician, you'll provide holistic, evidence-based care that supports recovery for individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Working closely with Senior Clinicians and Team Leaders, you'll deliver bio-psycho-social assessments, treatment, and care plans that reflect consumer-centred and family-inclusive practice.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, identifying and prioritising consumer and family needs.
- Act as the primary treating clinician within a multidisciplinary team.
- Develop, implement, and review individualised treatment plans addressing biological, psychological, and social needs.
- Evaluate treatment outcomes to ensure optimal recovery.
- Involve families actively in care delivery, promoting recovery-oriented practice.
- Participate in weekend, after-hours, and on-call rosters as required in rural teams.
Skills and experience
- Experience in a Community Mental Health team (highly desirable).
- Strong clinical assessment and case management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Tertiary qualification and current registration in one of the following disciplines:
- Registered Psychiatric Nurse - Grade 3
- Psychologist - Grade 2
- Social Worker - Grade 2
- Occupational Therapist - Grade 2
